Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of RemoveZero at removezero.com, including the website, free single-image tool, browser-based batch processing, account features, Credits, paid API, and related documentation (collectively, the “Service”).

In these Terms, “RemoveZero,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service. “You” refers to the individual using the Service and, where applicable, the organization that individual represents.

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or selecting an acceptance control, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age, that higher age applies.

If you use the Service for a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so, if your account has been suspended or terminated, or if your use would violate these Terms or another person’s rights.

Some features require an account, including paid batch processing, Credit funding and use, API-key management, and paid API access. The free single-image tool does not require an account.

To register, you must provide a valid email address and create a password. We may require email verification, a security check, or other reasonable verification before creating or allowing access to an account.

You must provide accurate, current information and update it when necessary. You are responsible for protecting your password, secure session, API keys, and other credentials, and for activity performed through credentials issued to your account.

Notify support@removezero.com promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been accessed without authorization. You should also change the affected password or revoke the affected API key as soon as possible.

You must not create or use accounts or credentials to evade rate limits, security controls, suspension, or other enforcement measures. We may refuse, restrict, suspend, or close an account when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, its users, or legal compliance.

RemoveZero provides automated background removal for product and other permitted images. The Service includes a free single-image workflow, authenticated browser-based batch processing, and a paid API for integrating background removal into an application.

The input formats, output options, request requirements, technical limits, and availability may differ by workflow. The current product pages and API documentation describe the requirements that apply when a request is submitted.

Submitted images and results are processed transiently. RemoveZero does not provide permanent storage or backup for customer source images or results. For browser-based batch processing, selection, preview, queue order, and downloaded results remain in the browser, while selected images are transmitted through a bounded processing queue.

A feature is part of the Service only when it is currently made available by RemoveZero. We may modify, update, restrict, or discontinue features, formats, limits, or availability as described in these Terms.

The single-image tool processes one image at a time without an account, subscription, or Credit deduction. Free use remains subject to the displayed file requirements, security checks, rate limits, capacity, and availability.

The batch tool requires an authenticated account and sufficient Credits before processing begins. Selection, preview, ordering, and removal take place in the browser. Images are submitted through a bounded concurrent queue and must meet the limits shown in the tool.

Paid batch processing and the paid API use the same account Credit balance. Each successfully processed image uses 1 Credit. Selecting or organizing an image before it is submitted does not use a Credit.

We may reserve 1 Credit before a paid request begins and consume it after successful processing. If processing fails and the failure is confirmed, the reserved Credit is returned to the account. This Credit return is a usage adjustment, not a cash refund.

The Service is subject to file, image, request, batch, rate, account, API-key, concurrency, and other operational limits designed to protect security, reliability, capacity, cost, and fair access. The limits displayed in the relevant tool or API documentation apply at the time of a request.

A request that exceeds an applicable limit may be rejected, delayed, throttled, or blocked. We may change operational limits when reasonably necessary to protect the Service or respond to security, capacity, legal, or provider requirements.

You must not bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, human verification, usage limits, rate limits, or security controls. Automated traffic, uncontrolled retries, scraping, or multiple credentials used to evade limits may result in restriction, suspension, or termination.

Credits are prepaid usage units for paid RemoveZero features, including paid batch processing and the paid API. The free single-image tool does not use Credits.

The current wallet is shared across paid batch and API processing. Unless the pricing page or checkout states otherwise, US$1 adds 100 base Credits, funding of at least US$100 adds 5% Bonus Credits, and funding of at least US$500 adds 10% Bonus Credits. The amount and Credit allocation displayed before payment control the purchase.

Purchased and Bonus Credits do not expire while the account remains in good standing. Credits are not cash, a bank deposit, electronic money, or a general-purpose payment instrument. They may be used only for eligible RemoveZero services and may not be withdrawn, transferred, resold, or exchanged for money except where applicable law requires otherwise.

We may correct a balance or Credit entry to address a verified error, duplicate entry, failed request, reversed payment, fraud, or other invalid transaction.

Funding adds Credits to your account only after the applicable payment provider confirms the payment. A checkout page, redirect, client-side message, pending transaction, or incomplete payment does not by itself establish that Credits have been added.

RemoveZero offers account funding through Waffo Pancake hosted Checkout. The currency, conversion, fees, limits, taxes, supported methods, and Checkout terms displayed at payment time control that transaction.

Credit funding is a one-time purchase and does not create a subscription or automatic renewal unless we separately offer those terms and you expressly accept them.

Payment information entered during Checkout is handled by Pancake under its terms and privacy notice. We receive the status and transaction information reasonably necessary to credit balances, provide support, reconcile payments, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

Bonus Credits are promotional usage units added under the rules displayed on the pricing or checkout page. They are not part of the amount paid for the underlying funding transaction and have no separate cash value.

Bonus Credits may be used only for eligible RemoveZero services. They cannot be withdrawn, transferred, resold, or exchanged for money or other value.

We may correct or remove Bonus Credits that were issued in error, obtained through fraud or abuse, or connected with an invalid funding transaction.

We may correct a verified duplicate payment, a confirmed payment that was not credited, an incorrect Credit entry, or another billing error. A correction restores the account to the position supported by the payment and usage records.

If a payment is disputed, reversed, charged back, reported as unauthorized, or otherwise determined not to have settled, we may correct the related account and protect the Service while the matter is reviewed.

Actions may include reversing related Credits, suspending funding or paid processing, freezing the account, revoking API keys, recording an amount owed for Credits already used, and requiring the payment issue or balance adjustment to be resolved before access is restored.

We may review payment, account, and usage records and provide relevant information to the payment provider in connection with a dispute or fraud investigation. Nothing in this section limits a non-waivable right under applicable law or prevents you from contacting your payment provider or financial institution.

Top-up transactions are final. RemoveZero does not accept voluntary refund requests for top-ups or unused Credits, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right.

If RemoveZero permanently terminates your paid access for a reason unrelated to your breach of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, or payment dispute, we will refund the unused purchased base Credits attributable to valid settled payments, subject to the original payment method, provider capabilities, and applicable law.

If we restrict, suspend, or terminate your account because you violated these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, created a security risk, or misused payment systems, no refund will be provided. Bonus, promotional, courtesy, and already-used Credits are not refundable.

A Credit returned after a confirmed failed image-processing request is a usage adjustment, not a cash refund.

The paid API requires a valid RemoveZero API key and a valid Idempotency-Key for each request, as described in the API documentation. Paid API requests require sufficient Credits and are subject to the current file, request, rate, security, and availability limits.

An API key is a credential for the account to which it is issued. Keep keys confidential, store them in an appropriate server-side secret manager, and do not place them in browser code, public repositories, client applications, logs, or support messages. A new key may be shown in full only once and may not be recoverable later.

Use the same Idempotency-Key when retrying the same request data and a new key for a different request. Reusing one key with different data may be rejected. Idempotency is intended to prevent duplicate processing or Credit use; it does not guarantee that a request will succeed or that a previous result can be reproduced.

You may integrate the paid API into your applications and use it for the benefit of your customers. You may not resell raw API access, sell or publish API keys, or build a competing service substantially derived from the paid API without our written permission.

You are responsible for activity and Credit use associated with your API keys until they are revoked, except to the extent caused by RemoveZero’s own breach of its applicable security obligations or where applicable law provides otherwise.

We maintain records reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Service, provide support, reconcile payments, and comply with legal obligations. These may include payment statuses and identifiers, Credit entries and balances, request identifiers and status, API-key metadata, Credits used or returned, timestamps, and security events.

Account activity and usage history may be delayed or corrected when a transaction remains pending or a verified error is found. Subject to applicable law, our server-side transaction records and the payment provider’s settlement records govern reconciliation.

If you believe a payment, balance, or usage record is incorrect, contact support@removezero.com with the relevant non-secret order, payment, or request identifier.

You retain the rights you have in images and other material submitted to the Service (“Your Content”). RemoveZero does not claim ownership of Your Content or of a result solely because you used the Service.

You grant RemoveZero and service providers acting on its behalf a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to receive, transmit, process, transform, and return Your Content solely as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service request. This license does not authorize advertising, sale, or model training using Your Content.

You represent that you own or control, or have obtained, all rights and permissions required to submit Your Content and permit its processing. Your Content must not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, contractual, data-protection, or other third-party rights.

RemoveZero does not provide persistent image storage or backup. You are responsible for keeping copies of source images and results.

Results are generated through automated background-removal processing and may be incomplete or incorrect, including around fine edges, hair, reflections, transparent materials, shadows, low-contrast areas, or unusual images.

You must review each result before downloading, publishing, selling, submitting, or using it for a consequential purpose. You are responsible for editing, approval, labeling, rights review, marketplace compliance, and other checks required for your use.

RemoveZero does not grant rights to third-party material contained in or derived from Your Content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that a result will be accurate, complete, unique, original, non-infringing, or suitable for a particular marketplace, platform, or purpose.

You must use the Service lawfully, respect the rights of others, and avoid conduct that threatens users, payment systems, or Service security and availability.

• Do not submit content you are not authorized to process or use the Service to violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, contractual, data-protection, or other rights.
• Do not impersonate, defraud, harass, extort, materially deceive, conceal material product information, alter evidence unlawfully, or facilitate unlawful conduct.
• Do not process sexually exploitative content or sexual content involving a minor, or use the Service for surveillance or biometric identification.
• Do not access or test another person’s account, secure session, request, result, or API key.
• Do not bypass authentication, human verification, rate limits, concurrency controls, or other security measures.
• Do not send malware, exploit payloads, decompression bombs, intentionally malformed files, or requests designed to exhaust Service resources.
• Do not scrape, resell, or automate access in a way that defeats published limits or abuse controls.

The Service relies on independent providers for functions such as hosting, content delivery, authentication, payment processing, security, and image processing. These providers may process information as necessary to perform their assigned services.

A third-party checkout, authentication service, or linked website may be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy notice. Those terms govern your relationship with the provider’s service; these Terms govern your use of RemoveZero.

We do not control or endorse third-party websites, services, content, or availability. Provider failures, network conditions, maintenance, or policy changes may affect the Service.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, documentation, interfaces, name, and marks, is owned by or licensed to the Service operator and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for lawful personal or business purposes, including permitted paid API integrations.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, publicly display, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, extract, or interfere with the Service or underlying software, remove proprietary notices, or use RemoveZero marks without written permission.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and incorporate them into the Service without compensation or attribution.

The Service is provided on an evolving basis. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, availability at a particular time or location, compatibility with every device or application, or suitability for every workload. No service-level commitment applies unless agreed separately in writing.

We may maintain, update, modify, restrict, throttle, suspend, or discontinue features, supported formats, request limits, or other parts of the Service when reasonably necessary for security, reliability, cost control, legal compliance, provider changes, or product development.

We may not maintain backward compatibility for every feature or API behavior unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice of a material change that affects paid use.

We may reject a request or restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, used the Service fraudulently or abusively, created a security risk, caused or attempted an invalid payment reversal, or if action is required for legal compliance or to protect the Service or others.

Where reasonably practical, we will notify you and provide an opportunity to correct the issue. We may act without prior notice where delay could increase harm, compromise an investigation, enable continued abuse, or conflict with legal or payment requirements.

You may stop using the Service and request account closure through available account controls or support. When access ends, API keys may be revoked and pending processing may stop. Account closure and data deletion are handled as described in the Privacy Notice.

Refunds following termination are governed by Section 11, subject to mandatory law. You must not create or use another account to bypass a suspension or termination.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service, results, and related content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, security, uninterrupted operation, or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, process every request, complete within a particular time, preserve content or results, or produce a result suitable for your intended use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service operator and its affiliates, personnel, contractors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, savings, opportunities, goodwill, data, or replacement-service costs arising from or related to the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a warranty, remedy, mandatory consumer right, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Service operator and its affiliates, personnel, contractors, and providers from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, an application or integration you build using the paid API, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your violation of another person’s rights.

We will provide reasonably prompt notice of an indemnified claim where practical. You may control the defense, but may not settle in a way that admits our fault, imposes an obligation on us, or restricts our rights without prior written consent.

The Privacy Notice explains how RemoveZero handles account, payment, usage, security, image, and other personal data. It forms part of these Terms for matters concerning personal-data handling.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, business practices, security requirements, or law. We will post revised Terms and update the last-updated date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice through the Service or by email where practical. Where law requires affirmative consent, we will request it.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove mandatory rights that apply to you. Before bringing a dispute, please contact support@removezero.com so the parties can attempt to resolve it informally, without limiting urgent relief, legal deadlines, or non-waivable rights. An unresolved dispute may be brought before a court with competent jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right to use another forum.

These Terms and any feature-specific terms expressly incorporated by reference form the entire agreement concerning the Service. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, with notice where practical. These Terms do not create an agency, partnership, employment, fiduciary, or joint-venture relationship.

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, power or network failures, provider failures, civil unrest, or government action, except for payment obligations already due.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain effective, including provisions concerning payment adjustments, content rights, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, disputes, and general terms.
